Best Research Award 2017

13 November 2017 – SPWLA Saudi Arabia Chapter in coordination with SPWLA KFUPM Student Chapter announced the winner of best research award. Amjad Hassan, Ph.D. Student of KFUPM, the winner of the first KFUPM contest. Amjad has presented his research work entitled “Determination of Water Saturation Distribution for Unconventional Reservoirs using Conventional Well-logs”.   Upon receiving their abstracts, students were encouraged to present their research work to the SPWLA-SAC and KFUPM panel who have chosen Amjad’s work out of four potential presentations as best  prospective research covering Petrophysics and formation evaluation. Amjad will present the KFUPM-chapter and merit all required support to his work for the SPWLA-2018 annual conference student paper contest.  SPWLA-SAC will provide him with a token of appreciation and gift, and will sponsor his trip to London to attend the SPWLA-2018 annual conference. We also want to congratulate all of the students who entered; we received outstanding abstracts and have witnessed good presentations. Our only regret is that there can only be one winner. Every student who participated has received a certificate of participation. Congratulations to the winner and special thanks to KFUPM, College of PE&G and everyone who contributed to the success of this contest.
